Installation instructions for beta app testing (Android)

These step-by-step instructions show how to install the app with the provided invitation link. To handle app updates it is advised to install the “App Tester” app as shown below.

Follow the invitation link and enter your Google account and click “sign up”, which will send you an email invitation.

Click on “Get started” in the email you just received, which will open the browser.

Either provide your Google account or select it if you are already logged-in in your browser. Accept the conditions and click “Accept Invitation”, which will show the current test versions that you have access to.

It is recommended to install the “App Tester” app by clicking on the suggested “Download App Tester” on the bottom. The App Tester app will provide you easy access to all available test versions.

When the app is downloaded, you may have to allow apps to be installed from your browser. After confirming, install the App Tester app:

After the installation, you have to log in with your Account again and accept the conditions to see the available test versions.

Finally install the beta app version, by tapping on “Download” for the latest test version. This may require you to allow apps to be installed from “App Tester”.

You can now start the app either from the App Tester app or from your phone's home screen.

For versions 0.3.263 and older, note the following:

• On the first start, you will be asked to permit access to “Photo and Media”. This is required if you want the app to store CSV files of your recordings. If you decline, no CSV files will be stored.

Similarly, depending on the Android version, you may have to allow Location Service and Bluetooth, otherwise the app cannot find and connect to the sensor.
